The two graphs show changes of leisure time spending in the U.K by age group. Overall, although people still have much leisure time, electronic equipment and sports spending is decreasing.
The most spending on leisure time in U.K between 20-30 ages is electronic equipment, with 41%. This dropped to 38% in the 50-60 ages. Sports purchases plunged from 20% by the 20-30 ages to 5% by the 50-60 ages. However, the share for all other leisure time spending increased dramatically; The percentage of people’s leisure spending for books and magazines almost doubled from 16% to 28%, while the gardening proportion increases from 7% to 16% for the above 50 groups.
